NIRF Rankings 2024 Released Today

The NIRF 2024 rankings will be released today, August 12, by the Ministry of Education (MoE) at 3 PM. You can check them on the official website, nirfindia.org. These rankings will show the top institutions in 13 categories, including universities, colleges, engineering, management, law, architecture, dental, innovation, agriculture, allied institutions, and research institutions.

What is NIRF?

NIRF stands for the National Institutional Ranking Framework. It was approved by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD) and officially launched on September 29, 2015. NIRF ranks institutions across India based on a method created by a committee from the MHRD. The rankings consider things like teaching, learning, resources, research, graduation outcomes, outreach, inclusivity, and perception.

How NIRF Rankings Work

The NIRF rankings are based on several factors: teaching, learning, resources, graduation outcomes, research, perception, outreach, and inclusivity. These main factors have been the same since 2017, but some details have changed over time. This year, each major institution will get an overall ranking, and if they specialize in certain areas, they’ll get a specific ranking for that too.
