The National Institute of Technology, Rourkela (NIT Rourkela) introduces a new BTech program focusing on Artificial Intelligence. Interested candidates can apply for this program through the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) and CSAB registration.

Offered by the Computer Science and Engineering department of NIT Rourkela, this four-year program aims to provide candidates with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills essential for excelling in the field of artificial intelligence.

Registration and choice locking for JoSAA counselling are open until June 18, 5 pm. Applicants can register on the official website josaa.nic.in. They need to have their JEE Main 2024 application number and password ready for accessing the JoSAA counselling portal.

The seat allocation results for round 1 of JoSAA will be declared on June 20 at 10 am. Additionally, the first seat allotment result will be announced on June 15 at 8 pm, followed by the second round on June 17.

Subsequent rounds of JoSAA counselling results will be announced on June 27, July 4, July 10, and July 17 respectively.

Last year, admissions at NIT Rourkela for BTech, BArch, dual degree, and Int. MSc programs through JoSAA and CSAB counselling were conducted from August 16 to August 21, 2023.

Established in 1961, NIT Rourkela has garnered recognition, securing 37th rank overall, 16th rank among engineering colleges, and 8th spot in the Architecture category in the NIRF ranking 2023. Moreover, the institution achieved 67th rank in the Southern Asia category of the QS World University Rankings 2023.
