On July 26, the National Testing Agency (NTA) released the re-revised results for the NEET UG 2024 exam. You can check the updated results at exams.nta.ac.in/NEET/.
Key Updates
- Revised Answer Key: The NTA has also released a revised final answer key. For Physics Question 19, Option 4 is now marked as correct.
- Impact on Toppers’ List: The initial list of 67 students sharing the all-India rank 1 has changed. Six students lost their rank after grace marks were withdrawn and a retest was conducted for 1563 candidates on July 19. The merit list is now expected to reduce from 61 to 17 students.
- Supreme Court Order: The Supreme Court ordered the NTA to withdraw the grace marks initially given for a wrong question. This affected the scores of 44 students who had previously received grace marks for selecting Option 2 for a physics question, lowering their scores to 715 out of 720.
- Controversies: This year, NEET UG 2024 faced several controversies, including allegations of paper leaks, incorrect language paper distribution, and issues with grace marks. The Supreme Court heard these matters in four sessions during June and July.
